Dan Birk writes darkly funny thrillers and fantasy about dangerous people facing impossible choices. A former high-school English teacher in Brooklyn and Vienna, he now works as a lawyer in Chicago, where he lives with his family. His debut novel, Confessions of a Dangerous Girl, is a YA spy thriller about a teenage assassin confronting the one mission she cannot fake: friendship. He is currently working on an adult fantasy novel.Confessions of a Dangerous Girl is his first novel.
